Chapter 108. No Hope
The thunder continued roaring as Azarial chuckled. She was enjoying every bit of her actions. With her eyes fixed on the cave, she held her scepter towards it. Out of her scepter came forth a thick dark smoke.

Two weeks have gone by, and there has been no sign of Mary Brown. The police precinct has been reporting more deaths. Such killings they described as ‘bat attack.’ Some of the victims have a bite mark on the carotid arteries in the neck and some on their radial arteries in the wrists.
The police precinct believes such bite marks can come from bats. With strict orders, the lead captain of the precinct instructed the citizens to contact the animal control agency when they found bats in the house. The steps they are advised to take are to, first of all, find out how the bat got into the house because the bat may have been roosting somewhere in the house and mistakenly found its way to the living space.
