Chapter 153. Feeling Jealous

AT THE CASTLE

“Feeling a bit better right now, are you?” Mike whispered.

Mike didn’t let Philip and his men succeed. He gave them a horrific fight killing all the hunters who came to capture Mary. Only Philip managed to escape with broken ribs. Had it been Philip knew they will encounter a sabertooth, he would have come more prepared.

Mary opens her eyes making a blurry profile of Mike. “What happened?” she mutters. Her head was still reeling from the concussion of the wolfbane.

When Philip’s men opened fire on Mike, some bullets flew toward Mary. However, Mike took the bullet as it wouldn’t harm him, although some fractions from the bullet touched Mary but didn’t do any damage. The wolfbane from the bullet fractions made her weak.

“I’m glad you’re okay.” Mike puts on a huge smile as he helps Mary sit up. He continued. “The hunters won’t trouble us for now but I still need to get the book of doom from Alice.”
