Chapter 54. Lustful
The music was so loud that nobody could hear the barking of the dogs in the forests in the distance. The scene was lighted by the campfire. Judy was dragged away by Joe. Due to the loud music, it was difficult to detect the spooky sounds of the woods. Joe had no light source with him, and it was a dark night. He guided Judy away from the campfire and their friends’ company. He merely desired some alone time with Judy. He didn’t give the lack of a light source any thought. He doesn’t want anyone to know they’ve departed, after all.
The rocky road curved around the bushes and the fig trees as they kept trudging along the snaking path, guided by a trail of stars. Judy was burning with curiosity as to why Joe pulled her away from the campfire and away from their fellow peers. She’s not used to the dark. “What’s going on?” she asked.
“Relax, it’s just the two of us,” Joe replied.
