Chapter 67

Kenzie had returned to his human form with a trail of blood under his nose and chin. But Kenzie ignored all of that. Even the pain was completely meaningless when he saw Queenza's body lying weakly with the dagger still stuck in her chest.

"Queenza...."

Kenzie's tone was filled with guilt. Indirectly, he was the one who killed Queenza. His tears rolled down with his fingers tightly clenched. He looked down, crying silently.

Then a flash of red light made Kenzie flinch. He looked up and was surprised to find the light emerging from the wound under the dagger that was still stuck. Hesitant, Kenzie grasped the dagger and then used her strength to pull it. Instantly, the red light became more and more blindingly bright, forcing Kenzie to step back while placing her hands in front of his face to block the light from entering his eyes.

Not quite there yet, suddenly the sky turned as dark as night. accompanied by red lightning that seemed to split the sky.
