Tangled Hearts: Chapter 2

Christopher knocked on his father’s study and after some seconds, the door opened to reveal a surprised Gary, “Chris, I was not expecting to see you today,” he said.

Chris chuckled, “hi Uncle Gary,” he greeted and the man moved aside for him to enter and patted his shoulder while he passed him before shutting the door. Chris saw his father sitting behind his mahogany desk on his chair like the king he is. His gold rimmed glasses resting on the bridge of his nose as he stared at him with his crystal blue eyes that revealed neither shock nor surprise to see him as everyone else. “Good morning dad.”

“Christopher, how are you?” Michael asked, taking his gaze back to the paperwork in his hand, “took a night flight?”

“Yes um… I had the jet ready before I rounded up with the meeting,” Chris replied, taking the chair opposite him.

“I see,” Michael replied as he pushed back his glasses, “so how was the meeting? Did the boarders reach an agreement?”

“Definitely,”
