Chapter 39
Jack's POV
A week has passed since I had to take care of a drunken Alana. I never thought I'd see her in that state; I thought she didn't drink or only did so with friends, not out of spite or a similar reason. When I looked after her, her eyes were shining, her rough and obnoxious side had completely disappeared. I enjoyed spending time with her more human side, felt like I was hanging out with a friendly and funny girl. But what confused me was that she cried and said things I didn't think she would say in that condition. Feeling something for me? It's impossible; she can't feel anything for me because we still don't know everything about each other, and we haven't spent enough time together to say she feels something for me. Since I arrived, I've only shown her my cold and indifferent side, I even made an effort not to fit in too much with her, but she persisted and stood up for me. And then we ended up talking about anything.
