Taylor’s POV

The hospital corridors blurred together as I made my way through the bustling halls. The events of the past days had taken their toll on me, leaving me feeling disoriented and out of focus. The weight of my past seemed to press upon my shoulders, making each step feel heavier than before.

I couldn’t deny the fear that gnawed at the edges of my mind—the fear of running into Michael, my abusive ex-boyfriend. The mere thought of encountering him in the hospital sent a shiver down my spine. It was a fear that I couldn’t easily shake off, no matter how hard I tried.
