Lost in my thoughts, I walked along the busy city street, oblivious to the world around me. My mind was consumed by a whirlwind of emotions, her heart heavy with the weight of her past. The noise of traffic and bustling pedestrians seemed distant, fading into the background of my consciousness.

As I absentmindedly crossed the street, my thoughts racing, a car approached with alarming speed. The blaring horn cut through the fog in my mind, jolting me back to reality. My eyes widened with panic as I turned to face the oncoming vehicle, frozen in place, my heart pounding in my chest.
