Taylor’s POV

In the days that followed, our interactions became strained and awkward. We avoided discussing the kiss as if it had never happened. Our once effortless friendship now felt fragile and uncertain. I longed for things to go back to how they were before, but deep down, I knew that it was impossible.

“What happened to you and Mavi? Did you fight?” Yumi asked. I hid my face from her so she won’t see me blush when he mentioned Mavi. “Uhh, n-no,” I said.
