Chapter 57

Taylor’s POV

As I slowly opened my eyes, a wave of dizziness washed over me. My body felt heavy, my head throbbed with pain, and I knew something was wrong. I tried to reach for my phone on the bedside table to answer Yumi’s persistent calls, but my trembling hand couldn’t grasp it. My body felt weak as if every ounce of energy had been drained from me overnight.

The room spun around me, and a sense of unease settled in. I knew I couldn’t ignore my condition any longer. With great effort, I managed to sit up, my vision blurring as I swung my legs over the side of the bed. Every movement felt like a monumental task, but I needed to find a way to get help.
