Never enough.
No matter what I do, how much I say, or how much I don’t say, he still makes it a point of character to make sure I suffer.
“Is this really how you make a cup of coffee?” he seethes, and I have absolutely no idea what’s wrong, but I shake my head and turn to leave.
I wonder if I should add milk or sugar, but I realize he didn’t taste it, so there’s no way the taste could be the problem. What then is it? Choice of cups? The look of the mug? The temperature?
You can trust I never repeat the same mistake in terms of temperature, and the liquid would very much nearly scald a person if they were to come close.
Whatever should be wrong in a cup of coffee, I fix it in this last cup, to where Yvonne chastises me for using a timer. I take the tease and swallow the get. Let’s just get this hurdle over and start the day.
However, the moment I hand him the cup of coffee, he does nothing to it. Not a thank you, not a follow-
