I don’t blame Victors for looking at me. In fact, I’m angry and a little frustrated that he’s indulging himself way too much. It doesn’t give me enough time to study him.
Talk about monopolization.
Still, the air is undoubtedly thick with the tension that clothes us as soon as we lock our eyes.
Oh, my.
I shoot my eyes straight down. Out of sheer curiosity, I bring my gaze up a little, just so I could catch from my peripheral vision, if he’s still watching me watch him.
He is.
His eyes are fixed on me, probably waiting for me to look up, just so he can scold me.
Or is it?
I lock eyes with him again, just for the benefit of the doubt. His eyes are on me, still. Maybe not on my eyes, but on my face… my shoulders… my chest.
Every part of me that is… well, me.
