Chapter 46
Morgan Daniels didn’t want to believe that Maia was standing a few meters away from her. She didn’t want to blink for fear that if she did, Maia wouldn’t be there anymore. She took in her appearance.
Her hair was no longer a dark brown, it was a dark auburn colour and was longer and wavy. She had aged a bit, but that was totally normal since it’s been seven years. Her facial features were more defined.
In conclusion. Maia looked beautiful.
Maia's gaze was focused on the seven-year-old who looked scared and frozen on the spot. Then, Lea rushed over to her mom, with fear and panic in her eyes.
“Mummy, I bumped into someone,” she whined holding tight to the hem of her jeans.
“It’s alright sunshine, mummy will handle this,” Morgan reassured her daughter and then proceeded to tug her behind her, as though she was protecting her from a wild animal. Then she smiled at the woman she'd been dreaming to see for the past years.
“Hi, Maia"
