After weeks of unrelenting practice, it no longer overwhelmed her, even though the barrier had thinned with her constant prodding, allowing more power to escape and pool above the surface of that seal. Thanks to the steadfast instruction from Alpha Rhye and Leon, her control had improved tremendously and she knew the mechanics of shaping her power.
It should be easier to gather and shape it, to channel it into an ability.
Should be.
Yet, with all the training, and the feeling of ever-nearing danger, she’d only learned to harness her Allure, diminishing and amplifying it at will, call forth a varying amount of Light and Shadow, and pull enough moisture out of the atmosphere to make a small ball of Water she could throw at them.
Basically, she could make them squint, distract them with her hotness, and get their shirts wet.
Not exactly helpful in a combat situation.
