When she didn’t answer, he gently tipped her face up with a finger under her chin. There was a glint in his eyes, now a vibrant purple instead of grey with the partial release of his glamour, that set her heart racing.
“Should Joseph or Leon join us?”She asked.
“They have something to do. They have their own task,” he said, winking at her.
Livia didn’t catch her reaction in time to hide it. Shadows seeped from her skin in thick tendrils to wrap around them, coiling up their bodies like vines. The air around her thickened and began to swirl, fluttering the long, platinum locks of her hair.
His voice dropped to a sultry rumble, the glint in his eyes brightening. “Should I call in my wolf? Do you need him too, sweetheart?”
