Chapter 35

She turned back to the table staring at the glass of champagne she carried. She raised it up to stare at the liquid in it after taking just a sip from it and placing the glass on the table.

Someone stepped beside her and she turned to look at who it was-the lady who was also in a red dress like her's.

She smiled at the lady who also returned the sweet smile.

"You look pretty". She complimented with a sad smile even though she tried to make it look natural.

Then Tallulah sighed and walked away before the lady could even respond. The lady just stood staring at her as she walked away.

Tallulah went to double door and proceeded into the hallway leading to the exit door at the far end.

At the table, Mateo averted his gaze to the dance floor again after a few minutes and a frown settled on his face.

Tallulah was no longer there and so was Arthur- Mr. Barnaby. He signalled a bodyguard with his hand and the bodyguard walked to him immediately.
