Bree’s POV

“What about Matthew Scott?” Maddie asked eagerly.

“Nope, not interested.”

“Jeremiah Anderson”

“I’m still not interested.” It was a free period, and we were hanging out outside by the tree, chatting among ourselves.

Sofie wasn’t around since her brother was coming back today. She wanted to be home when he returned. I get her; it’s been a year and a half since she last saw him. He studied in London and hardly comes home.

“Ian Martins”

“Really Mad, I don’t need a boyfriend.” I told her again for the hundredth time that day that Maddie can be really stubborn when she wants to. She has been trying to set me up with some guys in school.

“I told you not to call me that; I feel like you are insulting me. And what do you mean you don’t need a boyfriend?”

“Because I don’t. If I wanted one, I could easily get one.”

“Then why the hell haven’t you? It’s been months since Ace left.”
