Chapter 12. The Deal
Bree’s POV
I stretched my body a little bit, making sure my feet touched Hayden’s feet before giving him a hard kick, and he grunted out in pain, sending death threats in my direction.
I sent him a devilish smirk, flipping my hair. I focused on the food in front of me, paying no heed to him.
“Hayden, I heard you are the captain of the football team,” my dad asked.
“Yes, sir, that is true.” Hayden answered, If I didn’t know him so well, I would think he was nice, gentle, and respectful. But like they said, looks can be deceiving.
“When is your next game?” my dad asked him again.
“This Friday, sir.”
“You must be really proud of your son, Dominic.” My dad smiled, referring to Hayden’s dad.
“It would have been better if he was more focused on his studies; that way he could take over my company. Instead of silly football games,” Dominic replied sternly.
