Chapter 43. Mate Time
Amber’s POV
‘Ignis, why didn’t you tell me we were going into heat?’
‘Would it have helped or stressed you in the whole prisoner ordeal, knowing we were going into heat unmated and unmarked?’
‘UGH! Stop making sense. This is unbelievable.’ Ignis snorts something incoherent in my head and disappears. I look around my new room, not knowing what to do with myself. I just had a warm shower, which was nice, but I want my mates. Mom unfortunately forced them to take care of everything else first. She then insisted on staying with me, but haven’t said a word since we arrived in the room. She keeps staring, almost demonstrably, out of the window and I don’t want to disturb her.
I’ve been kidnapped twice within a few days, and right at this moment it seems like neither me or my mates are capable of keeping myself or the girls safe. She’s probably going to insist on me coming home to the pack so she can look after us. But that is not happening. This is my home n
