Chapter 45. The Trial

Chase’s POV

After a good night’s sleep, all three of us feel refreshed. We rescued Amber late in the afternoon, the day after that fateful dinner, and then we went back to our room after Blaze and I took care of my father. He went to one of the magical enforced cells, just like Gia. I made sure Tristan knew only to station loyal members of the royal guard outside their cells, so we don’t have a repeat of past events. I need them to stand a fair trial in front of our people and the other royals. Both Queen Mina and Daron’s mother were in cells with magical enforcement as well.

None of them knew what had happened, other than we came back with an unconscious Gia and then the next day a defeated Callus. My aunt made sure to reach out to the rest of the rebellion, telling them we had apprehended Callus, and that I was willing to meet with all of them and make a treaty. We need peace in our Kingdom, and with Amber and Blaze by my side, we will ensure there will be peace
