Chapter 69. The Queen of Fire
Amber’s POV
The throne room is one big inferno cover in death and screams from those who are not yet gone. Keres sits on her throne still, but she’s breathing heavily and her clothes are long gone. I haven’t seen Narine since before I let my fire rage throughout the room, and even though I hope she’s dead, in my heart I know better. She escaped before I could get to her, and I will forever be on the lookout for her revenge. I promise to myself and my family that this is the last time someone gets kidnapped. I need to be able to protect my family, and I know just how to do it—just got to do it. It’s a task for another time, but that time has to be closer than far because Keres will thirst for revenge as well after this.
