Chapter 45. Old Enemies

Kiara’s POV

Growls erupt in the room, everyone seems on edge. Some of the males pull their mates further into their arms, but no one is as angry as Abby. The air around her is literally glistering with her aura.

“WHAT THE FUCK!” Abby shouts, Matte tries to calm her down. She swats his hands away with an angry growl. Matt grabs her face with his hands and turns her to face him. She apologizes in an instant at her outburst.

“I know everyone here wants to hunt her down and bring justice for everything she has done to harm us over the years.” Maze says, and I wonder what he means by that, but that is a question for another day. “But we need to stay calm and pretend we don’t know she is back.” The room looks at him like he is crazy, but this is actually rather brilliant.
