“Daniel, you ass! How could you do this to me?!”

Daniel merely laughs at his baby sister, his own eyes misting now that he’s reunited with his best friend since she was born. 

The alpha, too, inhales his sister’s neck, a common method of scenting reserved for either mates or family. 

“I missed you too, you ugly ass pup. I haven’t seen your annoying face in ages.”

Once the siblings calmed down, Serena made sure to remember her manners and greet Hendix as well. 

Likewise, Kris and Kane exchange tight hugs with the Diaz’s eldest son. 

They might be closer to Serena, but they also grew up with Daniel . He’s one of their childhood best friends, too.

Dinner has never been happier than that evening. 

Serena talks animatedly with her brother, wanting to know everything and anything that happened with him and his mate’s travels.
