“Nonsense, child. Alphas and betas from this pack are lucky we’re only letting our own to join the run. If we opened the borders and allowed foreigners to be a part of this tradition, knowing that you’re gonna join in...” Serena’s mother animatedly says, determined to make her daughter see just how beautiful she is. 

Serena came from her, after all. 

She got all her good looks and even greater heart from her. 

“...I’m afraid a stampede might happen right at the very edge of our forest.”

Serena smiles appreciatively at her mother. 

She knows she means well and is trying her damn best to lift her spirits, but she’s her mother. She doesn’t count, Serena still feels terribly insecure.

Thankfully, someone else is also an expert in silencing the omega’s demons.
