“You already miss her? Although I would assume that it is normal. You left all your whole life behind to come here after all,” he added with an understanding tone.
“I miss them a lot,” Syliva confessed with a sigh. “We don’t have much. My sister and I worked day and night to afford food for Dorian, my nephew. leaving them alone back in the city makes me worry sick,” she added moving to another display. She did not want to dwell on the anxiety for too long. “Anyway, I don’t want to ruin the mood,” she forced a smile. Liam noticed but did not say anything. “I think I have everything I need,” she added, looking at the basket Liam was carrying. It was filled to the brim. Another one was already waiting for them at the register. The shop owner looked quite happy with all the purchases. Surely, it made his whole month.
“We can have lunch at the local restaurant,” Liam said once they finished. He stretched with a groan.
“I can make something at home,” Syliva protested. Sh
