Lola's POV
Sunlight rays shone brightly on my face, making me squint in my sleep before I eventually opened my eyes. To my surprise, I was met with a wide-awake Adrian, who was watching me intently with a smile on his face.
"Good morning, my beautiful mate," he greeted before grinning widely at me, which resulted in my cheeks having a striking resemblance to a very ripe tomato.
I hid my face in my pillow when he chuckled at my face. "You shouldn't hide from me," he said, "you look fucking pretty right now, and it's taking a whole lot of strength to prevent Daxon from taking over." I looked at him in confusion.
"Why? Does he want to speak to Lola?" At this question, my wolf jumped in excitement in my head, and I had to plead with her before she calmed down. It was too early in the morning to be having a headache. I had enough yesterday.
