A uniformed waiter approached me at the table and gave me a menu. I ordered a refreshing drink and a light meal which consisted of a grilled fish fillet, vegetables, and a corn muffin.

While waiting for my order, a flicker of concern danced in my mind as I detected that all too familiar scent – a scent that had once led me to the presence of a vampire.
