I believed it was a sound idea but how could I betray my Dad’s people? If I would do that, then would be no different from the beta.

What should I do?

I sighed again before turning off the shower. I wrapped my body with a towel then I dried my hair. It wasn’t the first time I was in the bathroom so I already knew that Beta went to great lengths to make it a suitable bathroom for a woman.

“Holy shit!” I cursed upon seeing him sitting at the edge of the bed. “What are you doing here?” I didn’t mind asking how he got inside because I knew he had access to the guest room he allowed me to use.

“I forgot to tell you something, Chloe. Before that, you should get dressed first. It’s uncomfortable to talk to you when you are almost naked.”

“Then, get out first, Beta Maverick. It is rude to watch a lady changing clothes,” I told him and he chuckled.

“You are not a lady, Chloe. You are a whore who spread her legs for a rogue. Go on. Just don’t mind me,”
