The anticipation of the crowd was thick in the air, and I couldn’t help but feel as if it was too much. I took a step back as I became anxious. I was not ready for this open demonstration of adoration in front of others.

However, Beta Maverick had other ideas in mind. He approached me with a scary look in his eyes, wrapped his arm around my waist, and drew me closer to him. I gasped in surprise when his lips finally made contact with mine.

It was a passionate and powerful kiss. It was full of raging energy as if he was trying to lay claim to me as his own property. The excitement of the crowd nearly overpowered the rapid beating of my heart as it exploded into yells and clapping. I was briefly unable to break free from his grasp as I felt as if I was being held captive by the intensity of the kiss.
