Chapter 22

Camila massaged her cheek, blinking rapidly. The slap she was given threw her backwards, and if not for Beta Stevens, she could have fallen down.

"What did you just say?" She was asked. She wanted to say it once again, but Beta Steven squeezed her hands, and after getting his message, she changed the subject to, "I said I didn't send anyone to kill your baby. I'll suggest you track the goon's number because it's only him who can tell you whether it's me who sent him or someone else."

"Are you trying to say that I am lying? Are you calling your Alpha a liar?" he growled.

"I didn't say any of that; all I said was that I haven't done anything you are accusing me of. Why would I kill the baby anyway? He hasn't done anything to me. I may look like a bad person to you, but trust me, I have never had such thoughts in my mind." She said.

Because she was bleeding badly from the place where she had injured herself when she was first pushed to the ground, Elder Peter advised t
