Chapter 23. Let the Games Begin
The wind gusts rolled in, trying to knock the girl off her feet. At the top of the tower, the wild winds were not pleased with the uninvited guests. They were waiting for a chance to trip them up and push the onlooker into the abyss.
Lyra clung to the column, gazing into the distance. The wind tossed her hair, tangling it even more. Swatting away another strand that had flown into her eyes, she returned to the group of friends. They were still recovering from the sleeping potion.
Lyra remembered: she had been looking at the phoenix and suddenly plunged into peaceful darkness, only to wake up moments later from the cold gusts of wind. Her team was coming to their senses around her.
