“Jas…Jasper?” The name was difficult to pronounce.

“Hey, sis,” he answered.

“It can’t be. You are alive?” I asked, unsure. It could be Antonio playing tricks on me again.

“Yes, I am alive,” he sighed on the phone.

“But…but the plane crashed, and…And the…” I struggled to get the words out.

“No, I never went on the plane. I went into hiding. I made them believe I was on that plane,” he explained.

The tears fell of their own accord. My brother was alive. Everything was right again.

“I can’t believe you are alive. Do you know how happy that makes me?” I cried over the phone.

“Where are you?” he asked.
