If only I got there faster, just a bit faster. 

I blamed myself greatly. I had told her that I hated seeing her hurt and had promised myself that I would never let anything hurt her again. But here I was, doing none of those things. 

The feeling I got anything I saw her bruised innocent pretty face made my stomach turn and I hated it. And when I saw her cry, the feeling was worse even. 

I could not help holding her in my arms and comforting her as she cried. And I promised myself that I was going to hunt Matrix down to the last. I just had to cut off his feathers first before getting to him. He had just added a bunch of things to our long bad history and he was going to pay for it. 

I had treated her bruises and injuries and given her some medications before she finally slept off. I had watched her for sometime ensuring she was okay for a bit before leaving her room.
