Chapter 248. His Regrets
It was late midnight when Sherhzaad stepped out of the main door, before sitting down on one of the entrance stairs. Lowering her head on her knees, she began to weep silently.
FLASHBACK
A 5-year-old Sherhzaad was on vacation with her parents in the mountains. She was looking at the view with an open mouth, utterly mesmerized.
“Are you seeing this, Sher?” her father exclaimed, picking her up on his shoulders.
“Abbu, it's really beautiful,” little Sherhzaad told her father.
“Okay, you two, freshen up now. It’s been a really long journey,” Sherhzaad's mother told the father-daughter duo.
“Mama, please na, let me play in the snow a little more. Please, Mama, my sweet Mama,” little Sherhzaad nagged her mother.

“Let her play, Jaan. I am here only; I will bring her after a while. Don’t you worry,” her father Asif told her mother in an assuring manner.
