Chapter 166. Celebrations

Leah’s POV

I sat at the table, my heart still filled with warmth. I was happy. For once, I truly was. Who would have thought that I would have again after my whole life had been turned upside down on the night of Vanessa’s birthday.

Who would have thought that I would have been able to truly smile and it be genuine again? I mean, everything wasn’t perfect, but at least it was all somehow good. 

It was way better than what someone who had their whole life stripped away from them weeks ago could have been.

The maids soon came in with the food, placing it on the table. Rafael was right next to me, his eyes never leaving me. It was like he enjoyed seeing me happy.
