Chapter 169. Pieces
Leah’s POV
Fear.
That was what was in the eyes of the guard. He looked so scared, but then it was replaced by a coldness that came out of nowhere.
He exhaled deeply and then smiled. “I guess you caught me.” He chuckled. He then looked at me, his smile still lingering on his lips. “You were told to do one thing. One f*cking thing and you couldn’t do it.” He shook his head in disappointment.
“Take him away,” Jules said to the other guards at the door, and they jumped into action.
The guy didn’t even fight back. He just surrendered and allowed himself to be taken away. The smile that was on his face never died. It remained glued there as he was taken out of the room, leaving Jules and I alone.
A few seconds of silence fell between us before I asked, “So what becomes of him?”
“The Hole. He’s going to be sent there and he won’t ever see daylight again. He’s going to pay for what he caused you, I will personally
