I needed to come with an answer, and fast. Jules was no longer staring at the view, he had turned and was now giving me his full attention.
“I—“
“You have thrown trash bags out two times now. And each time, I watched you. I think you fail to understand that I am in charge of the workers and the properties. I’m responsible for keeping everything in check.”
“They were just some old clothes that I didn’t like,” I lied, I was still trying to figure out whether I should tell him the truth or not; whether I could trust him or not.
