Chapter 125. I’ll Find Her
Dominic’s POV
He snorted loudly to my left, already his back turned on me; that was it. I wasn’t going to allow him to get in the last word, though.
“This isn’t over,” I yelled after him.
Rossini half turned, “Good luck, Dominic. Hope you’re ready for what’s headed your way.”
I had barely left the ball when the coolness of the evening air fanned that fire that seemed to flare to life in my chest. Panic gnawed at me—twisted with every passing second that produced nothing of Leila. Languid with her missing, it pressed upon my mind with dark possibilities swirling inside of it.
“Listen up!” I bellowed loudly enough for the security guards and anyone else within earshot to hear. “I want every square inch of this estate turned inside out and upside down. No stone left unturned. Grounds, rooms, garage, everywhere. Find her. And report directly to me.”
And there, in the black rectangle of the doorframe, stood Jocelyn: level-eyed, her lips twisting
