Chapter 71. This Little Kid

Jocelyn’s POV

“Are you sure of this?” I asked, my knuckles were already white from gripping the phone.

“Yes, Ms. Jocelyn. We got confirmation. Our mole did say that Luca’s been looking for her too. They have been sniffing around, but it seems they are as oblivious as we were.”

I leaned back into my chair, just feeling this really weird sense of satisfaction ooze over me. Dominic hadn’t even trusted his dear brother with that information, having kept his little pet from everyone, even Luca. It all started to make so much sense to me now as to why it had taken such a long time finding her.

“Why do you think Dominic’s hiding her from Luca?” I whispered, trying to put the puzzle together bit by bit.

“Couldn’t say, ma’am. But whatever his reasons, she’s a person he cares about, that much is certain. And he’s keeping her close but out of reach.”

“Not for long.” A slight smile traced my lips. “You’ve done well. Now tell me, where exactly is she?”<
