Chapter 77. Dominic’s Arrival

Dominic’s POV

“Where the hell are they?!” I yelled into the radio, barely containing my temper as the car tore through the deserted streets.

“Close, Dominic. Just up ahead!” Stefano’s voice crackled back. “Stay to your left, you’ll see them.”

I saw the flashes of gunfire before I saw Luca’s car. The sound of bullets echoed around the industrial area and my stomach clenched. “Leila. Please be safe.”

I cut through the lot, tires screaming, kicked open my door. “Go! Get a circle around Luca and Alessandro!” I yelled at the entourage spilling from the vehicle, guns up.

A sight to boil my blood: Luca threshing on the ground, clutching his bleeding shoulder; Alessandro knelt over him, still firing into the masked men beating a retreat into the darkness.

“Dominic!” Alessandro yelled above the bedlam, eyes wide. “They tried to kill her!”

“I see them!” I snarled, anger razing over my body. “Get Luca out of here! Now!”
