The sound reaches Alpha Blue Sun before he even descends the stone steps to the holding cells—a rhythmic banging that echoes through the underground corridors, reverberating off the damp walls.
His bronze wolf head cane taps against each step as he makes his way down, the slight bow of his legs becomes more pronounced on the uneven steps, but his stride remains unhurried. Let the caged wolf tire himself out.
The musty air of the dungeons mixes with the metallic tang of the iron bars. However, there's something else that cuts through the unpleasant odours—that distinctive smell of sunshine that belongs to only one infuriating North Star.
Blue Sun pauses at the bottom of the stairs, his honey-brown eyes adjusting to the dimmer light as they scan the row of cells. Most are empty but the third cell on the left is very much occupied.
