Chapter 45. I Love You

Adele's POV 

Chris and I cooked dinner together after our little conversation earlier and everything went well. We talked, laughed, joked about silly things and it kind of made me grateful to myself that I had chosen to listen to him and hear him out. Instead of just staying angry and upset about what I saw.

We are about to sleep right now and I am already on the bed. I have finished taking a shower and Chris is inside the bathroom right now. 

The door to the bathroom suddenly clicked open and Chris walked out of it. He has a towel wrapped around his lower body and beads of water keep trailing down every inch and crook of his body. I won't lie, I like the sight of it. 

His body glistens so much under the chandelier's bright lights. His head suddenly turned to look at me as he walked toward the closet and I took my gaze off him immediately. 

I heard Chris chuckle and I looked up with a fake frown on my face. 

"What?" I aske
