Chapter 48. Turbulence in the Plane

Adele's POV 

Liam was already waiting outside with the car, so we set out immediately Chris and I got into the car. The ride went on forever and when it finally stopped, I muttered irrelevant things to myself tiredly. 

Chris stepped down from the car and I opened the door of the car by my side as well, only to meet Chris already waiting there to open it for me. 

I smiled helplessly at him and he scratched the back of his neck childishly. 

"Boss, Mrs. Marvin," Liam suddenly called out respectfully and I looked up to see him standing in front of Chris and me. 

He bowed slightly as he stretched our luggage towards us. I collected mine from him and Chris collected his luggage from Liam as well. 

"I wish you a safe trip, boss," Liam said politely as he looked to and fro between Chris and me.
