Chapter 71. Art Exhibition Invite

Adele's POV

Chris's mother let out a chuckle before speaking up again. 

"I have been invited to an art exhibition," she started with all of her focus on me. 

"And I was wondering if you and Chris could go in my stead," she added as she blinked continuously at me and I looked down at my now empty bowl.

I don't know if Chris would be willing to go. 

"Do you think Chris would want to-?" I started saying and she cut me off immediately. 

"Of course! As long as you are going, I am sure he would want to go as well," she assured me with a wink and I smiled a bit. 

"Thank you for the invite then," I said politely with a smile and she nodded. 

"Remind me to get the invitation letter for you when you are about to leave," she said with bright eyes and I nodded. 

"Okay, Mother"

Everything went quiet once again and I played with my fingers.
