Jason understood that this is how Kitty would always be. He didn't think she was ever going to change, and if she changed, it would be a slow process. Jason knew he had to apologize; he knew that he had to make her understand what was going on.
He didn't want her to be in the dark because if she didn't know what he was doing, she might be worried about him and what might have happened to him. She didn't even look at him at all. He didn't want to look as though he was going to force her to listen to him, but he was going to try his best.
