Chapter 9

"I...I" She kept muttering as suddenly the door opened and Trish walked in.

"Kitty, how are you?" Trish sat beside her on the opposite side of the bed where she was and hugged Kitty.

"What did the doctor say?" She asked Kitty, placing some strands of her hair behind her ears.

"They said I'm okay. I can even get discharged today." Kitty responded to Trish. Her gaze slowly traveled to Jason, and their eyes clashed.

He was staring at her and smiling at her; it made her blush, and she kept wondering if she should accept his offer.

"I'm leaving love." Jason stood up and smiled at Kitty, totally ignoring Trish. He leaned closer to Kitty and kissed her lips and then her forehead. Kitty was totally blown away.

As he walked to the door, her eyes followed him, and suddenly, he stopped and turned around.

"I will go buy lunch for you." He smiled and walked outside.
