Chapter 101

Bryan's POV 

I had been to this pack several times but today I had no idea I'd be here to see my parents in-laws, unannounced. 

Ciara shivered at her mother's icy tone and ran into me. I adjusted Lacey in my arms and grabbed her shoulder. 

“What's wrong?” I asked as I studied her closely. 

“This was a mistake, let's just go back home,” she muttered as she struggled against me. 

I shook my head. We couldn't just run off at the first sign of danger. She obviously had a reason for being here today and if she didn't accomplish it, I wasn't going to let her go. 

I shook her slightly. “You need to face them. Once you get over this fear, you'll be invisible.” 

She opened her mouth and started to talk but I didn't let her finish. “Go ahead and do what you need to. I'm right here.” 

I shook my head and nodded towards the other woman standing there. “Good day Ms….”
