Chapter 22. Unveiling the Sorcery

Lillian’s POV

The second Bear moved sluggishly when it was about to attack us. I noticed that it was strange that the Bear acted that way; the King Bear was never sluggish in its attacks.

Something wasn’t right with the second Bear, and because of my heightened hearing as a werewolf, I heard the sound of distant whistling and the jingling of bells.

My eyes darted back to the second Bear.

It couldn’t be...

I shook my head. I didn’t want to believe that this Bear could be under manipulation.

I shifted to my human form and stood in front of Arsenio. “Don’t do anything,” I said in a hushed voice.

“What’s wrong?”

“Something isn’t right.” That was all I could say to him.
