Hermes’s POV

Apparently, Lillian’s act of pouring out the poison that was meant for Emily was an open defiance against us.

What a naive young lady.

She was too stubborn and wouldn’t give up on her fight for the throne. If she had agreed to marry Heckim, everything would have gone back to me.

And I had found out from Emily that she was heading to the Nightwolf Pack to unite them with ours and gain military power.

If the Nightwolf Pack got on her side, it wouldn’t be good and would jeopardize my plan.

I had to do something about it, and I could not let that happen.

Emily should learn to control her daughter, who was getting out of hand. There had to be something I could do before she got to the Nightwolf Pack.
