Chapter 59. Betrayal in Disguise
Lillian’s POV
I went back to the banquet because I had left my clutch bag there, and I was going to take it back to my room at the pack house.
Beta Joey approached me when I was taking my bag from my seat. The banquet hall was almost empty, and we were standing alone.
“Princess.” He said, getting closer to me and sighed. “I came to apologize for what happened earlier. I’m sorry for what I said. I felt truly remorseful for my words.” He apologized.
“I was being disrespectful toward you and shouldn’t have uttered those words.”
I know he did that because he was angry with me, but I held no grudges against him. Besides, he wasn’t part of the reason I came here to the Nightwolf Pack.
