Lillian's POV

I went back to the banquet because I left my clutch bag there and I was going to take it and return to my room at the pack house.

Beta Joey approached me when I was taking my bag from my seat. The banquet hall was almost empty, and we were standing alone.

"Princess." He said when he got closer to me, and sighed. "I came to apologize for what happened earlier, I'm sorry for what I said. I felt truly remorseful for my words." He apologized.

"I was being disrespectful towards you and shouldn't have uttered those words."

I know he did that because he was angry with me, but I held no grudges against him. Besides, he wasn't part of the reason I came here to the Nightwolf Pack.
